Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It stands as a powerful reminder of resilience, liberation, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. Today, Juneteenth is recognized nationwide as a time to honor history, celebrate Black excellence, and embrace cultural pride​.

​My name is Faith Reayna Sanders the visionary behind the Miss Juneteenth Pageant. Our non-profit organization Visions of Worthiness Wellness is dedicated to uplifting the community through Holistic Wellness and providing intervention and prevention programs for children, youth and families.
